Each week there are:

  • 25 lessons and activities of 45 minutes each (corresponding to 20 hours of 60 minutes)
  • 10 hours of activities and programme to get to know Bologna and the Italian people.
  • 10 hours of exercises and homework (at home or at school)
  • The teachers help the students to improve the way they speak Italian. In the class the atmosphere is relaxed and people are calm and serene.
  • It is important to speak spontaneously without fear of making mistakes, the teachers correct.

The director, the teachers and staff are at your disposal to help you solve any challenges you encounter, however the small big problems students may have. If students do not feel good comfortable at school, in the class, in the apartment, and during your free time, then it will be difficult to really learn! If there’s even a small personal problem and a student doesn’t feel well, he or she i’s not open to Italian, so he doesn’t struggle to learn! For this reason we have to help students all the time: it’s not only a matter of kindness, but also our professional duty.

Learning Italian in your city is of course possible, but here in Italy, in Bologna, the course is practical, and you can learn how to use the Italian language as Italians do.
In the Italian communication there are some non-verbal aspects that are very important, such as facial mimicing, gestures. The tone is light, playful even when topics are strong, the sentence is open (not as in English or German), as the dynamic is very important in the Italian communication.

Bologna is a beautiful city that dates back to from the Middle Ages, and yet it has not yet been discovered by the mass of tourism as Florence, Venice and Rome. Here foreigners can live with locals and speak Italian. Our students are not isolated with English speaking tourists.

The city is elegant and rich thanks to the small abundance of small high- tech companies, in the electro-mechanical and packaging sector, and also for the well-known Maserati, Ducati, Lamborghini and – in part – Ferrari.

Bologna is also famous for its University, the oldest one university in Europe (1088)

And of course for its high-quality cuisine!

The program of extracurricular activities after class is divided in two parts:

  1. The first part is addressed offered to each single student, based on their personal who has special interests. A doctor, an architect, a teacher or a student for example, can meet an Italian colleague and visit a hospital, a school, or the university.

Those who are interested in soccer or motorbikes can visit a soccer club or a Ducati motorbike club, for example. Please talk to your teacher about your interest.

  1. The second part of the program is for every student together. The goal is to meet the Italian life, the history, the art not as tourists. We organize 2 or 3 activities per week outside of the school. Every night then you can follow the school’s advice to have a drink, or go to the cinema or theatre with students. In these situations you have the opportunity to meet Italians and communicate.
